No More Homeless Pets
We would like to make you aware of a special program called "No More Homeless Pets." A license plate was established to raise money for our state to help low income pet owners spay or neuter their pets for a small co-payment. This program was created in an effort to help reduce pet over-population in our communities.
The program offers reduced pet neutering fees to people who meet the eligibility requirements. Eligible residents can have their dog or cat spayed/neutered at the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter for a small co-payment.
This plan is designed for pet owners who reside in South Carolina and receive benefits under these programs: Food Stamps, Supplemental Security Income, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, Aid to the Handicap, Medicaid, Medicare, Low Income Senior Citizens, or Aid to the Permanently and Totally Disabled. Proof of being in one of these programs must be provided.
If you are interested in this program and meet the eligibility requirements, please call or come by the shelter for more information. If you are not eligible for this program, please think about us on your next trip to the DVM to purchase a new license tag for your vehicle!
